Parish Council Meeting

The next Badsworth Parish Council meeting will take place in the Lawson Hut at 7:30 pm on Wednesday the 25th September 2024. For the Agenda and Minutes of previous meetings, click here

Annual Parish Meeting

 The Annual Parish Meeting will take place later this year and is an opportunity for Badsworth residents to attend and share anything about Badsworth parish. The meeting is open to the press and members of the general public, however only persons on the current Badsworth electoral register have a right to speak at this meeting. Please see the Agenda when it is published, for further information.

ABOUT THE PARISH

Badsworth is a lovely village situated in West Yorkshire and is approximately 10 miles South East of Wakefield and 10 miles North West of Doncaster. It has a population of approximately 600 people and is mainly a residential community centred round the Grade 1 Listed St Mary’s Parish Church and Badsworth Church of England Junior and Infant school.

Badsworth, in common with a lot of villages, has existed since before 1086 and is listed in the Doomsday Book as Badesuurde.
