Annual Parish Meeting

Wednesday 30 August from 7.30pm, Lawson Hut The Annual Parish Meeting is an opportunity for Badsworth residents to attend and share anything about Badsworth parish. The meeting is open to the press and members of the general public, however only persons on the current Badsworth electoral register have a right to speak at this meeting. Please see the Agenda for further information.

Parish Council Elections

The current Councillors all finish their term of office on 9th May 2023 and a Local Government Election process will be undertaken to elect new Councillors. Once that has been done, a date can be set for the next meeting.

ABOUT THE PARISH

Badsworth is a lovely village situated in West Yorkshire and is approximately 10 miles South East of Wakefield and 10 miles North West of Doncaster. It has a population of approximately 600 people and is mainly a residential community centred round the Grade 1 Listed St Mary’s Parish Church and Badsworth Church of England Junior and Infant school.

Badsworth, in common with a lot of villages, has existed since before 1086 and is listed in the Doomsday Book as Badesuurde.
